-
The director of the Inchworm program is Ms. Melissa DiCostanzo who is also our director at SCCNS. Each Inchworm Summer Program group is staffed with two adults who are also professional teachers who have or currently work at SCCNS. We also have 2-4 high school students volunteer as counselors-in-training and assist us during the summer.
-
Each day at Inchworm includes indoor play, arts and crafts, stories, games, and snack time. In addition, there are special activities such as music with Ms. Anne, and gym activities with Ms. Gabriella and Ms. Gianna. There is also an outdoor playground and sprinkler play (weather permitting).
Each week at Inchworm features a different theme, such as pirates, camping, gardening, and sports. The daily activities and crafts will be geared toward that week’s theme.

No. Inchworm does not provide refunds. Once you have registered and selected a session/sessions for Inchworm, you will be unable to request a refund or change sessions. We prepare for Inchworm during the school year based directly on the enrollment information provided at the time of registration.
Because of our no refund policy, please be certain to register for the session(s) that you know your child will be able to attend. Even if you are only able to attend a portion of a session (such as two of the three weeks), you still need to register for the full session.
-
Yes. Before or during the summer, you may enroll your child for an additional session of Inchworm. However, because there is a limit of 12/14 children per class/per session, we may not be able to accommodate your child if the additional session is already full. If groups are not full to capacity at the start of the program, SCCNS reserves the right to offer additional weeks as an “add-on” to currently enrolled students.
-
Current SCCNS families may begin registering at 10:00 am Wednesday, February 26th until March 5th. Inchworm registration will then be open to the public beginning Wednesday, March 6th. Please note registration is on a first come first serve basis, and payment must be received by the school within 24 hours to secure your child's spot.
Similar to school registration, current families will receive a link via email to register on the morning of February 26th. If you are not a current SCCNS family, you should contact the Director at sccnschool@gmail.com to be added to the mailing list for the registration email on March 6th.
-
Upon registration, payment in full is required. Payment is accepted via check or electronically via Stripe (ACH or credit card). You will be given the option to pay electronically when registering. Checks should be made payable to Scarsdale Congregational Church Nursery School and either dropped off directly with the Director during school hours or mailed to 1 Heathcote Rd. Scarsdale NY 10583. ACH payments incur a $5 fee, and credit card payments incur a 2.9% +$0.30 fee. Your child’s spot is not reserved until payment is received.
-
No. If a current, updated medical record is on file with SCCNS, then you do not need to submit one for Inchworm.
However, the forms are only valid for one year. If your child’s birthday falls in the spring or summer, you will need to submit an updated form to us.
